MATH & NUMERACY
New Opportunities Learning Centre offers LMR training in math and numeracy to all students. Real-world/workplace relevance forms the core of our instruction. Basic subjects include:
- addition
- subtraction
- multiplication
- division
- fractions
- Decimals, Ratios, & Percents
- Word Problems & Problem Solving
- Metric System
- Measurement & Geometry
- Basic Algebra
Students will work towards completion of a Grade 10 level. Advanced (Grade 12) Math is available for students pursuing their GED or for those streamed towards college/university entrance.
Business and Job Related Math is offered for a variety of NOC classifications
