Students attending New Opportunities
Learning Centre to prepare for their GED are instructed directly to the test.
GED-specific instructional materials form the curriculum/texts for this
program. In addition to curriculum instruction, we also focus on developing test taking skills.
Steps:
Student will attend one of our centres for an assessment. Assessment will test all areas of study (see below). If student achieves passing grade, no instructional hours will be recommended.
Based on the outcome of the assessment, New Opportunities will develop an individualized program tailored to that student's requirements/weaknesses. The goal is to ensure that the student is able to achieve a passing grade in all areas of study.
- All GED instruction is individualized as students have different learning styles and needs.
